Venus isn’t Wet, it’s Volcanic
Planet Venus is home to the most volcanoes in our entire solar system. The surface of the planet is 90% basalt, and 65% volcanic lava plains, with a surface temp of 867F.

The reason some astrologers believe that Taurus is ruled by the Earth can be understood by the way in which the Earth transforms Venusian Volcanic energy into fertile, loamy, and life giving forces; qualities that are more readily associated with Taurus.
It’s the internally chaotic desires (Venus) that triggers the transformation for the fertile and sensual Earthly qualities to exist.
This is also mirrored by the beginning of Spring being ruled by Mars and Aries, pure fire and action. As the season shifts into Taurus we see more volcanic forces (and eruptions here on Earth) at play.

If Taurus embodies the fertile Earth, Libra is the gardener that tills it. It is the social magic of understanding that flowers come from healthy soil and will mix several compounds to achieve that.
Libra represents the Venusian Curator that grasps the technology of beauty (ever been to a party hosted by a Libra and Sag?).
Libra is more of an Earthly force than Venusian though (think Justice, indecision, bitterness, balance, delegation; these are more Human and Esoteric conditions than astronomical ones).

The most active Volcanic WORLD in our solar system is on Jupiter’s Moon Io!!
I truly believe that Sag, Taurus, and Libra have such a unique partnership because Taurus rules base senses, Jupiter rules psychic senses, and Libra governs social sense.
Where this quality is merely just a fraction (or moon) of Jupiter’s winds, dealing in sense and alchemy is a primary theme for Venusians. Which is why Taurus/Libra can get caught up in the ideation of Sagittarius easily (and gleefully).
The next time you think of Venus as soft, sensual, and relaxing; remember that it took a lot of action and alchemy to achieve it.
